Crazy Weeks

Monday, February 13th, 2006

Well, it’s been a week or two since I have posted something last. My life has really been pretty crazy since my last post of December 30th. So, what has happened in the last two weeks? Well, let’s just say that my personal life has been turned upside down. I have had an interesting few weeks, that’s for sure. It is truly amazing how decisions I have made in my life managed to bring me to where I am now. The funny thing is that some of those decisions were honestly just me screwing up. And not just a little mind you, but major full-blown mistakes. And some things that I thought made total sense at the time, now in retrospect were pretty stupid. But even screwing up I was able to make something incredible out of it. Have you ever noticed that in the midst of a total meltdown that you receive total clarity, and everything in your life just starts to make sense? Then just when you are at the lowest point in your life and you didn’t think there was any light at the end of the tunnel, something amazing happens?

I wish I could say the home buying front was going as well. I think that is going to be tougher then I once thought. I think that if I’m going to find a place I really like that I’m going to have to up the loan amount to at least 200k. There doesn’t seem to be a lot of options in the 150k range, even for a condo. I went and looked a one house that was very nice, it was built in 1996. It was about 2500sqft, 4 bedrooms, and two car garage on a cul-de-sac. But someone actually got a bid in and accepted before I could even see the place formally.

Ok, so…..most of you could care less about this personal life stuff and want to know about the games. How is Urban Terror stuff going? When is Getting-Up coming out? How long before you finish Snoopy and the Red Baron? Ok…where to start. Urban Terror development is coming along. I am trying to get my act together and finish a playable test for Crenshaw for the last port to q3. I have been torn between going with the new shorter layout, or the larger traditional layout. It’s been tough to be honest. I have no idea what is going to happen. Getting-Up, is set to be out on the 14th, and I’m pretty excited to see what the reviews are going to be like. I think that it’s going to be a runaway hit and people are going to love it. Snoopy is coming along just fine, I think we are very close to nailing the lid on it as far as Gameplay and play style. It’s coming along rather nicely and I am pretty excited to finally be making a game that my kid can play.

Well, that’s it. Ill post back soon when I have more goodies to share, or if my life drastically changes, which it looks like is happening right before my eyes. I have a funny feeling March is going to be my month where my life can finally begin in earnest. March may be the time where I make some radical life changes that have been a long time coming. Let’s all keep our fingers crossed and hope that happens :)
