Moving out

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

I will be moving out at the end of the month from Santa Clarita.  After this move I might be out of communication for a short time.  How long exactly isn’t quite clear yet.  There are a lot of different factors that will determine my next move, most of which be where I will be working next.  But until then I think its safe to say that Ill still be in and out of LA and helping my family with their move to Phoenix.  If you need me for any reason you can contact me via email, or on my cell.  That number wont be changing any time soon.

Time up at Spark Unlimited

Wednesday, July 25th, 2007

As some of you may or may not know, I am no longer with Spark Unlimited.  This was something that we knew was coming, and it was just a matter of time.  I asked them to keep me around until we hit beta, and we got there.  I think the game will be fine and I cant wait to see it released.  Of course I have been looking for another job in the meantime, just nothing good has come up.  This actually came at a great time as my lease was up on my apartment, and this will be the first place in like the last 4 apartments that I haven’t had to break a lease on and pay a large lease break fee.  Right now it really hasn’t hit me yet, but I have to admit that its nice to have some time off to get some things I need to get done like packing and moving.  I can take my time and I’m not being rushed where I have to kill myself to do it.  Im also thinking of taking some time now and seeing some friends that I haven’t seen in quite  awhile, as well as seeing my son as well.  So its kind of a mixed blessing.

EIEIO

Thursday, July 12th, 2007

There is a lot of buzz out there with E3 (or whats left of it) going on here in LA, as well as EIEIO. I have to say im pretty depressed that I cant join in the festivities tomarrow with the whole E3 funeral march. We are very close to the end and we have to hit pre-beta by the weekend so we could get the day off to participate, and it doesnt look like we are going to make it. Things are going really well and rather smoothly now as we start to wrap it up and put it in a can. I always love the last few weeks of a project as they are the most exciting.
