Game Design Geek

This last holiday weekend was very interesting to say the least.  We finally got my mother and my brother moved.  Thanksgiving I went up and had dinner and then we got started the next day.  We picked up the truck early friday morning, and then I went to moms place to start loading.  I took my young nephew Kenny with me and we started moving boxes into the truck.  After a few hours, Damon showed up and we started moving the big stuff.  We really had to take care and pack the truck very tightly as there was a lot to get in there and not a whole lot of room to work with in the 26′ truck.  I hate to say that we spend the better part of 8 to 9 hours and then we took the truck to my brothers place and we basically passed out.  The next morning we got up and started on my brothers place and there wasnt a whole lot of stuff packed.  So needless to say that we didnt finish for 12 hours.

We got on the road to Phoenix around 7pm Saturday night, and didnt get to the new house till 1:30am.  I tried to get them motivated to unload the truck since I had to get back and move my stuff out of storage down to San Diego.  Needless to say I realised that wasnt going to happen about 3am on sunday morning.

So, their house is really nice and its huge.   I really liked the way it was built and Im sure they are going to love living there.  Its a really new area, and Im sure that it will grow up at some point and there will be a lot of things there to do like shopping etc.

I got back too late to pick up the truck, so I had to reschedule….but it was an interesting trip, and I got to see their new place.

I promised footage of kangaroos from my trip to Australia, and here it is. These were taken after work one night with an HD video camera. Thanks to my friend Anthony for taking me out to his place to see these funny lookin critters.
