Game Design Geek

Its starting to get hot here in sunny Southern California.  There were a few days last weekend where I swear it was 6000 degrees.  Thank god I have been working till like midnight every night.  That way my apartment gets a chance to cool off before I get home and stew.  As we get into the dog days of summer, we also start getting into the home stretch of getting our little game out to testers.  We have been spending many days here at work trying to get our game ready, and its looking really good I think.  Im pretty happy with the teams progress so far and I think we are making a really solid game that we can all be pretty proud of.

On the home front, I haven’t had much of a chance to get my filing done.  Last weekend Austin and I went to Office Depot and I bought some bankers boxes to make that task a little easier.  I have been working so many hours that I haven’t had a chance to get to it…but its been piling up and I really need to get it handled.  Along with that I need to make some kind of decision about getting a TV.  I have been debating what to do before the next season of shows come out.  I really watching TV online, but Id much rather watch it on a real TV.  Maybe Apple TV is in my future, Ill probably debate it until the TV season starts, who knows.

Well, lets play catchup since my last post. Work has been going very well. We are now heading into the home stretch and I am finding myself working a lot harder earlier then I usually do. I think this is in part due to the fact that I am now the lead, so I have to fill in the cracks as well as my regular workload. Austin is doing well, and we have been trying to spend time together when we can fit it in. Its kinda funny, I have been back in San Diego now for almost a year, but it doesn’t feel like it. Time has really flown by. During the holiday, Austin and I went to Phoenix to see family, and I have to admit that it was really a good time. Although I did get sick, and Im sick again. I think I have been sick a whole lot this year, more then I can ever remember. Im not sure why, but its been rather frustrating.
