Moving boxes around
Monday, August 31st, 2009Things here at Xaviant are going pretty good. We are basically in the R&D stages of development. We really don’t have much yet but we are working on getting the tools and processes down so that we can start hammering down on production soon. I think one of the big things that we really are trying to get right is our pathing and AI tools and process. We are currently looking at a few differing middle-ware options.
The iPhone game is moving at an absolute crawl. I really didn’t do much on it this weekend. I’m starting to think that maybe I might be at somewhat of a standstill for now until I can get something from Tom. Vihn says he may help out here are there, but I don’t hold out much hope on that front. I can do all the artwork for the game myself if I really have to, but I would rather not if I didn’t have to. I really need to buckle down and get some of this stuff going, and stop slacking off. I spent 2 weeks just learning how to make the menus and the controllers for those work. I dont want to get lost and have to wait another few weeks to get more things working. I have also been looking into a CVS repository for code, that seems to be going well. I think I might buy a cheap PC or small mac to run it on.
